Zimbra Contacts Migration Notes

Using a Zimbra test contact with 63 data fields (this essentially populates
all available data types), we found that many data fields were not migrated
and many were not backed up when exported in "Windows Live Contacts" format

  • only 42 of 63 data fields were migrated to Office 365
  • only 26 of 63 data fields were exported to a backup CSV file using
          "Windows Live Contacts" as the export format
          
Results are tabulated below.  We recommend exporting all contact address books
using "Account Contacts" as the format to be sure all contact data is backed up.

Post-migration note: code changes migrated two additional fields (see footnotes).
