How To Request Support

The most effective way to request technical assistance from College of Engineering Computer Services (CECS) is via email to support@engg.ksu.edu.  For urgent or more immediate needs, call CECS at (785) 532-4643 and also email if possible.   Anyone who answers the phone is qualified to help you with most technical assistance needs.  If they cannot solve your issue, they will know how to contact those who can.

In general, avoid emailing a particular CECS person when you need assistance, as that person may be out of the office or otherwise indisposed. Emailing the general address has many benefits:

When emailing or leaving a message, try to provide as much information as possible about the problem; general nature, location, time, and who is affected. This helps us solve the problem quickly and correctly. Room numbers, eIDs, and Asset tags (located on barcoded labels on the backs of all computers we support,of the form "WESP0011" or "DOE0019") are particularly helpful.
